Each person that walks through our doors comes from incredibly unique and challenging circumstances. It’s through the power of art and storytelling that we are able to offer insight into the bravery and resilience of our community.
In 2015, local Sydney artist and ASC Patron Wendy Sharpe designed a series of portraits to profile four of the Centre’s clients.
The stories of Hikmat, Jojo and her son Holzay, MozMoz and Eva are portrayed through Wendy's art and the conversations shared during the process which are included in the cards. All fled their home countries because of fear of persecution, searching for a safe and happy environment in Australia.
